Welcome to this sixth Friday 5, a roundup of Recipes of the Day featured on YayYay’s Kitchen Facebook page in the last week.
Fresh, fermented and dreamy creamy
Recipes of the Day from February 26-March 3, 2016
From the spicy, fermented leekchi at the beginning of this week’s roundup, to the bright, crisp, winter salad near the middle and the creamy dreamy dip at the end, there’s nothing but fresh and good in these recipes, with lots of easy thrown in.

The basic dip, garnished with a sprig of mint, is as tasty with fresh-cut pears as it is with homemade whole wheat crackers
Each Friday you’ll find at least five recipes here, maybe six or seven, depending on how the foodie stars aligned. Most are vegetarian, some vegan. Occasionally the Recipe of the Day includes meat or meat stock. YayYay’s is a flexitarian whole-foods kitchen.
Friday: Leekchi via Aube Giroux on Kitchen Vignettes for PBS Food

Your turn! What’s simmering on your back burner? Post a link in the comments to a favorite whole grain/whole food recipe you discovered or published this week. Spam will, of course, be smashed and burned.
I love the Friday 5 concept, and of course I’m honored that Veggie Quest’s easy microwave popcorn made the cut! Thanks for all the great posts!
