This loaf went fast!

Yesterday, I promised a pic after we cut into the whole-wheat walnut raisin sourdough loaf this morning. Well, I’ve been asked to make it again tomorrow, because it’s almost gone, and we noshed it like it was to-die-for pastry instead of a humble boule. Finally, a success!

Too bad photographs don’t convey flavors and scents. This morning we smeared butter on untoasted chunks. For lunch, we cut up apple wedges and served them on the bread with a smear of my creamy, cheesy dip. Can’t get enough!

Just for fun, I’m submitting this photograph to the Express Yourself challenge on The Daily Post because cooking and baking are definitely chief among the ways I express myself. I’ve never participated in a challenge before. Have you? How did it go? Was it fun? How do you express yourself?
